Cam's Big Question
Why is evil attractive? This conundrum is addressed and disputed many times within Henry IV. The main scene of evil emodying happiness is ibviously Hal residing within the pub. Hal's mental fortitude within his decision arises from a subconscious need to escape his royal life.
In Hal's mind, running from the court and establishing himself among despicable pub crawlers is a release drom stress, labor, and paranoia. Luckily Hal is going to be a great King, and this time spent with lowlifes and the common people not only aids in somewhat humbling Hal, but also portraying the problems, glories, needs, and desires of the public itself.
